The British newspaper "The Guardian" announced, citing government reports, the increasing discovery of a dangerous strain of Salmonella bacteria in processed meat products in Britain.
According to the newspaper, the British Ministry of Agriculture and Environment confirmed an increase in the number of detected cases containing Salmonella bacteria in processed meat products.
A source in the Ministry of Agriculture said: "The ministry is concerned about the increased spread of Salmonella across Europe over the past decade. Officials will continue to monitor the situation and take necessary actions."
The newspaper pointed out that Salmonella can be primarily dangerous to the lives of infants and the elderly.
The newspaper quoted sources saying that about 400 people in Britain were infected with Salmonella bacteria in 2019 and 2020.
Salmonella bacteria were previously found in the Wieze chocolate factory, which is one of the largest chocolate factories in the world.
