US President Joe Biden meets with company presidents and union leaders on Friday, including the CEOs of Ford Motor Company, Kaiser Permanente Healthcare, Carrier HVAC Systems, and the head of the United Auto Workers union, according to a White House official.
The meeting, hosted by the White House and including both in-person and virtual attendees, brings together the leaders of the International Federation of American Employees and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.
The meeting will discuss economic conditions and the participants' views on the economy "and the ideas they should pursue to reduce inflation."
