About 7,500 people, according to police estimates, took to the streets of the German capital Berlin on Saturday in a demonstration called "The Global South Resists."
A police spokesperson said that pro-Palestinian protesters were among the participants.
The website of the protest organizers included a call for freedom and justice in the lands from Palestine to Congo as well as Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and others.
They stated that they want to "end colonialism, racism, and white supremacy."
The police spokesperson said that chants such as "Stop the genocide" and "Germany funds, and Israel bombs" were raised during the demonstrations.
No major incidents were recorded at this event where 400 police officers were deployed.
