Volodymyr Zelensky said that the talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations must continue. It is difficult but important; the positions of both sides now seem more realistic, but more time is needed.

He added, "Everyone must work, including our representatives in the delegation in the talks with the Russian Federation. This is important and difficult but important. Because any war ends with an agreement."

He continued, "The meetings are ongoing.. as I have learned, the positions in the negotiations seem more realistic." But he added, "But more time is needed for the decisions to be in Ukraine's interest."

Meanwhile, since February 24, the Russian armed forces have been carrying out a special military operation to protect the Donbas region, in southeastern Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territories. Explaining that Russia's goal is to protect the people who have been subjected, over eight years, to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime.

In response, Western countries imposed unprecedented sanctions on Russia due to its military operation in Ukraine, affecting the financial and economic sectors, including banning transactions through the "SWIFT" international banking system, freezing the Russian central bank's assets in Western countries, as well as closing airspace to Russian aircraft.
