A recent study warned of the dangers of drinking water and liquids from reusable bottles.
The study conducted by WaterFilterGuru in Denver, Colorado, revealed that reusable water bottles contain bacteria that are 40,000 times more than those found on toilet seats.
According to Fox News network, reusable water bottles often contain "Gram-negative" bacteria, which have resistance to antibiotics.
The study also indicated that this type of bacteria often spoils food, causes diseases, and leads to digestive system problems.
Scientists also discovered that reusable bottles contain twice the germs found on kitchen sinks, and may harbor four times the amount of bacteria found on a computer mouse, and 14 times more than a pet's drinking bowl.
Health experts recommend washing reusable bottles at least once daily with hot water and soap.
