Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau requested his citizens to leave Lebanon immediately last night, warning of the risks of regional escalation of the conflict between "Israel" and other parties, including the Lebanese Hezbollah.
Trudeau said at a conference: "We see that the risk of escalation is real," and added, "We encourage all Canadian citizens and ask them to leave Lebanon while commercial flights are available," according to "France Press."
In a related context, a spokesman for the White House said that U.S. President Joe Biden spoke yesterday to the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom to discuss easing tensions in the Middle East and a ceasefire in Gaza.
