Works on digging a tunnel for a high-speed train in the United Kingdom led to the discovery of dozens of decapitated skeletons dating back nearly two thousand years.

Archaeologists in the United Kingdom announced the discovery of about 40 two-thousand-year-old bodies buried in an ancient Roman village discovered during the construction of the West London train project.

Researchers later found burial sites containing more than 400 skeletons, about 10% of them decapitated, in addition to the village ruins, artifacts, and ancient coins.

According to researchers, the skulls of some of these were placed between their feet, and they will work to intensify research to discover more about the Roman era in the United Kingdom and how people lived during that period.
