Data released by Statistics Canada revealed that the unemployment rate in Canada remained stable at 5.8% last December.
Statistics Canada also stated that during December the number of jobs most likely did not change during the month, while the unemployment rate remained steady at 5.8%.
The number of full-time jobs declined by 23,500 in December, offset by an increase of 23,600 part-time jobs, while jobs in the professional, scientific, and technical services sector rose by 45,700, reaching 15,500 in healthcare jobs.
