Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced today that American efforts are currently focused on retrieving the hostages being held and working to end the ongoing war in Gaza.
In his statements, Trump said, “We are doing everything we can to help the families and retrieve the hostages as quickly as possible, and we continue to push for a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza.”
Trump pointed out that the crisis in Gaza requires “intensive diplomatic efforts” to put an end to the escalating conflict that has claimed the lives of thousands of civilians. He also emphasized that retrieving the hostages is a top priority, and that the United States is ready to support all international initiatives aimed at achieving this goal.
These statements come at a time when the humanitarian situation in Gaza is continuously deteriorating, amid increasing calls from the international community for a ceasefire and finding lasting solutions to the conflict.
