Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau commented on the U.S. presidential elections, stating that voters in the United States will be faced with two choices in the upcoming November elections.
Trudeau added on this matter that Trump's return to the presidency would be a step backward.
He pointed out that Canada is prepared for this possibility, and this statement came after Trump's easy and swift victory in the Republican Party caucuses in Iowa, achieving about 51% of the votes.
Trudeau also said, will they be optimistic about a new step for the future, or will they go backward?
He stated that he disagrees with U.S. President Trump on several points, who had won the presidency for one term in 2016 and then lost the race to the current president Joe Biden.
He indicated that it will not be easy if he is elected again, especially since Trudeau had disagreements with Trump regarding Canadian aluminum exports to the United States, as well as negotiations on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Trudeau mentioned that he is capable of defending Canada's interests during Trump's era, noting that working with the United States is always accompanied by challenges, even during Barack Obama's era, there were trade conflicts, which are also witnessed in Biden's era.
