Paramedics in Peel region said a man was transported in critical condition following a shooting in Brampton early Saturday morning.
The Peel police responded to a shooting in the Kennedy Rd. North and Sandalwood Parkway area just before 1:30 a.m.
Paramedics said a man was transported to a local trauma center in life-threatening condition.
It was reported that the suspect fled the area and no further details or description of the suspect were released.
Police believe the victim was targeted, and anyone with information is asked to contact police or the Stoppers program anonymously.
