A 60-year-old woman from Greater Sudbury was killed Thursday night after a motorcycle accident on Highway 144.
Emergency crews were called to the two-lane road between East Mackenzie Road and Joanette Street West at 11:50 p.m. Thursday.
Ontario Provincial Police said in a Friday morning news release that Debbie Johnson, 60, died after falling from her motorcycle.
The highway was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene of the accident.
CTV News spoke with one of her colleagues Friday morning who said they all feel saddened by her death.
"She had owned that bike for only three weeks after getting her driver's license last year."
