The number of followers of Mohamed Lahib on the social media site "Tik Tok" has exceeded 234 thousand participants. The account of the young man born in Lebanon and known as "Lahib" has received more than 9.2 million "likes."

This resident of London, Ontario, who defines himself as "the youngest Lebanese actor in North America," produces content in Arabic, English, or a mix of both.

In his short videos, he addresses a range of topics that interest young people such as friendship, romantic relationships, commitment, Arab family, money, or some behaviors in society.

The 23-year-old young man does not hesitate to tackle topics related to current political events like the Gaza war.

He says that he "is always able to make the most boring stories funny."

I have a natural talent for delivering engaging messages that I draw inspiration from through my daily communication with my family.

At the beginning of his career, Lahib always wanted to share content with people, but he did not know how.

He explained saying: "Many people in North America are of Arab background but they do not use Arabic, and some do not master it at all. This is where my acting skills come into play. The comedy I do bridges the gap between mixed races and English-speaking Arabs."

He added that "it is true that the spoken language is Arabic, but the way I deliver it through facial expressions and acting is conveyed fully even if you don’t understand me verbally. Some of the most common comments are: I don’t know what you’re saying, but I think I can understand it."

He aims by publishing his content in Arabic to teach followers some words "for laughter," giving viewers more than one reason to follow and interact with his videos.

Lahib dreams of becoming an actor. He works hard to achieve this dream.

The young man draws his ideas from his surroundings and his work; he is the owner of a company specialized in garden landscaping.

By combining snippets from his daily life, funny stories that happened to his friends, and improvisational ideas, he can produce videos that achieve great success.

Lahib says he does not think of his influencer activity as a profession. "I strive to make my works of quality," but he dedicates some of his energy to other tasks.

And if it is exhausting for many creators, it is not so with him as he integrates his creativity into his daily life.

According to him, what he prefers most in the world of influencers is the love of people, as he says, "Many people seek love even without creating content. It is the energy that inspires us to become better people and creators."

He explains that "the love I receive from followers is my only motivation. In Canada, we don’t get paid for creating content. I do it for the positive energy I share."

Lahib advises novice creators to avoid "inappropriate content."

"It is easy to become known in a different cultural environment by using rude language in your videos. However, it will harm your potential as an Arab influencer in the long run by limiting the target demographic."

According to him, the influencer must be prepared "to receive hate and criticism from those closest to him."

"The hate you will receive as you continue to grow your audience often comes from the people closest to you, and you have to find peace with that, otherwise you won’t go far."

He advises separating "the social media persona and the real-life personality. Once you gain social credibility online, even the haters will become fans."
