French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal is scheduled to visit the cities of Quebec and Montreal at the end of his trip to Canada today, Friday.
Attal is expected to hold a working session with Quebec Premier François Legault, followed by a joint press conference in Quebec City on Friday morning
Attal will then travel to Montreal, where he is set to participate in an economic roundtable with Legault at the Quebec Deposit and Investment Fund, the province's pension fund manager.
He is also expected to take part in a committee organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, alongside the Quebec Premier.
The French Prime Minister is spending a full day and will also visit an elementary school and the Quebec International Book Fair in Quebec City.
Attal stated in a press conference yesterday, Thursday, that he supports a policy of neutrality regarding Quebec's independence while standing next to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa.
Later, he delivered a speech to members of the regional legislature, becoming the first foreign leader to do so in the National Assembly of Quebec since former French President François Hollande in 2014.
