The natural gas storage levels in Germany have decreased to 67%.

Data released today, Monday, has shown a decline in the filling rate of natural gas storage facilities in Germany during the past week to 164.4 terawatt-hours, which is 67% of the total storage capacity, while the average filling rate at this time of year over the past five years was only 53%.

The data from the European Gas Infrastructure indicated that the filling rate in the previous week was 68% of the total capacity.

Bloomberg News reported that Germany and Italy recorded the largest weekly change in filling rates during the week ending April 27. At the same time, Poland had the lowest filling rate among European Union countries. Additionally, the average filling rate over the past five years in Poland is the lowest among EU countries.

France ranked second for the lowest filling rate compared to the average rate over five years, while Austria and Hungary had the highest rates in comparison to the average filling rates over the past five years during the last week.
