In an awkward moment, U.S. President Joe Biden left his Brazilian counterpart, Lula da Silva, on the stage without shaking hands, during a press conference held by the two leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting.
Biden appeared at the end of the conference greeting the attendees before he turned and left the room while the Brazilian President was preparing to shake his hand, according to what was published by "CNN Arabic".
Signs of astonishment appeared in the body language of the Brazilian President, as he made a gesture with his hand indicating to exit the room before he intended to leave.
In numerous video clips, the U.S. President was seen performing strange and unjustified actions that some attributed to his old age.
Biden had praised the relations between the United States and Brazil regarding issues including labor and climate change when he met Lula da Silva on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday.
