The "Al Jazeera" news network reported today, Wednesday, that a commander of the Iranian army said that the choice of Yahya Sinwar as the head of the political bureau of Hamas, replacing Ismail Haniyeh, "means that the Zionist entity will have no hope for its future," emphasizing that "the crimes of the Zionist entity and these assassinations will have a definite and strict response."

And yesterday, Tuesday, "Al Jazeera" news quoted Hamas leader Osama Hamdan as saying that Yahya Sinwar was unanimously chosen as the head of the movement, confirming that "this indicates that the movement understands the nature of the phase."

Hamdan added that "the negotiations were managed by the leadership and Sinwar was always present."

Less than a week after the assassination of Hamas’s political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital Tehran, Hamas announced yesterday, Tuesday, the selection of Yahya Sinwar as the head of the political bureau of the movement.

While "Sky News Arabia" reported in a breaking news update that a deputy to the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense, the "Pentagon," said: "We have no comment on the selection of Sinwar as the head of Hamas," American officials said last June that U.S. intelligence believes Sinwar, the powerful leader of the movement in Gaza, who is believed to be the main decision-maker of the movement regarding any potential ceasefire agreement, thinks that Hamas is likely capable of surviving an Israeli attempt to destroy it.
