The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced today, Sunday, that rocket shells targeted an American base in the countryside of Al-Hasakah, according to Al Arabiya channel in a breaking news recently.

It added that the rocket shells, which are likely from the group (Resistance in Iraq), fell in the area of the American base in Kharab Al-Jir in the countryside of the town of Rmeilan, north of Al-Hasakah, where there is a runway for American military cargo planes and a helipad.

It pointed out that Kharab Al-Jir base received large military reinforcements via cargo planes, as the number of planes reached 13 since the escalation of attacks on American bases following the Israeli war on Gaza.

In another context, the observatory announced that an unknown drone targeted a vehicle carrying Iran-aligned militants near the Syrian-Iraqi border near the city of Al-Bukamal in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

It added that there is information about the death of those who were inside it, and that the Iranian factions in the area are on alert.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced detecting a rocket launch operation from Syria towards Israeli territory, and the launch site was targeted in response.

The occupation forces have been shelling by land, sea, and air various areas of the Gaza Strip since last Friday, after the temporary humanitarian truce ended, which was not announced to be extended.

The humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip had come into effect at seven o'clock in the morning on Friday, November 24, for four days, and was extended for an additional three days, after continuous Israeli aggression since October 7, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 15,000 citizens, including 6,150 children, more than 4,000 women, in addition to more than 36,000 injured, in an unofficial tally.

The truce — which lasted 7 days — allowed for the exchange of detainees in Gaza for Palestinian prisoners from the occupation jails, and facilitated the entry of humanitarian aid to the besieged sector.
