One in four Canadians in a new online survey confirmed that they have previously been infected with COVID-19.
This survey, conducted by Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies, comes at a time when the country is struggling to resist a sixth wave.
Christian Bork, Executive Vice President of Leger, pointed out that the reported infection rate is higher than what official data indicate.
About 1538 Canadians participated in the survey; 30% of those aged 18 to 34 confirmed they had previously contracted COVID, while the infection rate among those aged 55 and over was about 12%.
