An American study revealed that the symptoms of heart attacks in women are different from men and include sweating, dizziness, and nausea, and often occur during sleep or rest.

Unlike men, it is not necessary for heart attack symptoms in women to appear as chest pains or pressure, so women need to be aware of these specific symptoms and work to reduce the chances of developing heart diseases.

Dr. Chantora Alwar, a family medicine specialist at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in the United States, says, "It is important to recognize the factors that increase the risks of heart disease and then work to avoid them," adding in statements to the specialized medical research website "Medical Express" that "some of these factors that exacerbate heart disease in women are traditional risks for both genders such as high cholesterol, obesity, and high blood pressure."

He pointed out that there are other factors that women must pay attention to in order to reduce the risks of heart disease such as diabetes, psychological stress, smoking, and a sedentary lifestyle, adding that there are special health conditions that may also increase the risk such as menopause and pregnancy complications.

He confirmed that "women of all age groups must take the risks of heart disease seriously," explaining that some women "tend to downplay these symptoms, and do not show interest in this health issue until the damage actually occurs, and their health deteriorates to the extent that hospital treatment is required."

Studies by the American Heart Association indicate that smoking and taking contraceptive pills increase the likelihood of heart disease in women by 20%, and that some symptoms of heart disease in women are often misdiagnosed by doctors. From this perspective, women are advised to seek medical care immediately once feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness.
