The Canadian Statistical Agency confirmed that the number of jobs in December remained almost unchanged during the month of December, while the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.8 percent.
It is scheduled that the Canadian Statistical Agency will release its latest readings on the country's labor market this Friday morning.
The agency will publish the December labor force survey, and the report will include the unemployment rate for the last month of the year and whether the economy added or lost jobs.
The unemployment rate in Canada rose to 5.8 percent in November, even as the economy added 25,000 jobs.
More lenient labor market conditions came as interest rates continued to impact economic growth.
The Bank of Canada is scheduled to issue its next interest rate decision on January 24, where it will also release its latest monetary policy report.
