School buses were canceled again across Eastern Ontario and parts of Western Quebec on Wednesday after hours of freezing rain late Tuesday.
 

Freezing rain warnings have disappeared in the area, but many bus providers say the roads have not been sufficiently cleared while schools will remain open.
 

On the other hand, buses to English and French schools in Ottawa, to the east, in the Renfrew area and down to the Brockville area are not running.
 

The Ottawa School Board said that all school buses and minibuses serving the Ottawa-Carleton School Board have again been canceled today, February 23, 2022, due to bad weather.

Clarifying that OCDSB schools remain open.

They also urged parents to drive their children to school and pick them up during regular hours.

The extended day program is also open to registered students.

Adding, the decision to cancel buses lies with the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA), which manages student transportation to OCDSB and the Ottawa Catholic School Board.

Triboard Transportation in the Kingston area also announced the cancellation of dozens of buses for English schools, without announcing a comprehensive general cancellation.

French buses were also canceled under the Consortium de Transportation scolaire de l'Est and through the Consortium de Transportation scolaire d'Ottawa except for the latter’s schools in Kingston and Trenton.

The Western Quebec School Board operates buses only in Gatineau, Maniwaki, and its schools to the north.

The Centre de services scolaire des Draveurs is canceling buses in Val-des-Monts, Cantley, Chelsea, Denholm, and all students living north of Highway 50.
