This week, the St. Joseph's Centre for Continuing Care received approval from the Ministry of Health for a planning grant to support 36 new rehabilitation beds in Sudbury.
Carrie Jervis, President and CEO of St. Joseph's Health Centre, said in a press release on Thursday, "We commend the Ontario government for supporting our community with much-needed rehabilitation beds."
"We are excited to begin planning to bring these modern beds online as soon as possible." St. Joseph's is a 64-bed rehabilitation care facility and the only independent specialized hospital in Northeastern Ontario.
