The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced today, Saturday, November 9, 2024, the execution of a death sentence against the Pakistani citizen Anwar Muhammad Khan, after being convicted of smuggling heroin into the kingdom.
According to the ministry's statement, the perpetrator was arrested following investigations that proved his involvement in the crime, and after the case was referred to the competent court, the death sentence was issued and upheld by the Supreme Court, to be carried out today in the Mecca region.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized the kingdom's commitment to applying the severest penalties on drug traffickers, warning against the consequences of engaging in these activities that harm society.
