The Royal Canadian Mint has announced the release of several new coins, which are currently available for purchase.
The highlight of the new coins is the "Dragonfly and the Bloom" coin, made of pure silver and weighing 5 ounces. It is an unusual piece made of sterling silver and yellow gold, featuring a three-dimensional dragonfly and water lily on its reverse.
The coin was designed by engraver Ryan Bouser from the Royal Canadian Mint, showcasing a dragonfly lily and its blooming leaves on the reverse, appearing as if it is resting on a water-like surface.
It is worth noting that in the center of the flower is a shimmering crystal; it reflects light like a drop of water on a sunny day.
The white-tailed dragonfly can be seen at the edge of the flowers, and when tilting the coin, you can see the dragonfly activated by gravity moving around the flower, making it a unique piece for collectors.
The coin also features a very large size, with a diameter of 65.25 mm.
This coin will not be circulated, so if you hope to obtain it, you will need to purchase it from the Royal Mint’s website, where it is sold for $799.95 or up to six monthly payments of $133.33.
