The Quebec government has issued a decision to raise teachers' salaries by up to 23.5% over five years, provided the proposed agreement with the Quebec government is approved.
The decision to raise teachers' salaries included teachers who belong to the FSE-CSQ unions.
The salary increase was approved according to the current placement of teachers in the salary scale, and teachers are scheduled to vote in principle on the agreement soon.
It is noteworthy that the joint front unions had organized a strike that lasted 11 days over the months of November and December, representing about 420,000 workers in the public sector within the province.
