Quebec is preparing to revive immigration programs to attract more foreign nationals. Among them, the Quebec Experience Program, which was launched in 2020.
In fact, the Quebec government intends to ease the access conditions to the immigration program dedicated to French-speaking foreign graduates.
As a reminder, the Quebec Experience Program was already revised in 2018. This program is considered an easy and fast path for the immigration of foreign workers and students. It has undergone reform by integrating a new access criterion, which is professional experience.
Currently, French-speaking foreign nationals interested in this program must prove between 12 to 18 months of professional experience in the relevant fields.
However, in the face of the increasing labor shortage, Quebec now wishes to relax these standards. The Canadian Minister of Immigration previously confirmed that French-speaking foreign graduates represent a real asset for Quebec.
