The Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila stated that the Israeli occupation kills every day all hope for the survival of the wounded and those trapped under the rubble due to its barbaric aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 22nd day, following a complete cutoff from the outside world.

Mai Al-Kaila mentioned in a press statement issued today, Saturday, that numerous massacres were committed by the Israeli violent machine against our people in the Gaza Strip last night, under a complete blackout of electricity and communications, which hindered the arrival of ambulance and rescue teams to the bombing sites, and completely disrupted communication between medical teams, hospitals, and ambulance centers.

The Palestinian Minister of Health clarified that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is beyond description, as more than 7,300 citizens have been martyred since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the seventh of this month, including about 70% of children, women, and the elderly, in addition to approximately 19,000 injuries, while thousands are still under the rubble.

She pointed out that what is happening in Gaza is genocide, as the occupation kills citizens and health teams, destroys and bombs treatment centers and ambulances, prevents the fuel necessary for hospitals to operate, blocks urgent health supplies from entering, and denies the injured and sick the ability to leave the strip for treatment, while also preventing the entry of volunteer medical teams. On top of this, it has escalated its aggression to completely sever the strip from the world by cutting all communication lines.

The minister confirmed that the Palestinian Ministry of Health has been calling, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression, on all countries, institutions, and international organizations to save our people in the Gaza Strip and to increase international solidarity and pressure to stop the aggression exercised by the occupation against humanity and to allow the immediate entry of health support in all its forms into the strip.

Al-Kaila noted that citizens seeking refuge in shelters and schools are suffering from the rapid spread of diseases, lack of clean water, and overcrowding, in extremely poor health conditions, all of which are compounded by the calamities they endure due to being forced by the occupation to flee, the bombing of their homes, and the killing and injuring of their families.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health had announced that the number of martyrs had risen to 7,703, including 3,195 children, due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Palestinian factions had launched the most powerful attack in history on Israel, which resulted in the death of hundreds and the capture of more than 120 individuals and their transfer to the Gaza Strip.

Since then, Israeli forces have launched intense and criminal bombardment on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the displacement and martyrdom and injury of thousands of Palestinian citizens, with calls emerging for the displacement of Palestinians outside the strip.

The Arab Republic of Egypt warned of the grave risks and unprecedented humanitarian and security consequences that would arise from a large-scale ground assault on the Gaza Strip.

Egypt - in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Saturday - held the Israeli government responsible for violating the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued last Friday evening, which calls for an immediate ceasefire and the enactment of a humanitarian truce that preserves civilian lives and allows for the immediate and uninterrupted entry of humanitarian aid into the strip.

Egypt also expressed its grave concern over the potential serious repercussions of the ground military operation and the expected increase in the number of victims and injuries among children, women, and unarmed civilians, in a new blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, amidst a complete inability of the international community to put an end to these violations and stop the bleeding of blood in the strip.

Egypt renewed its demand for the Israeli side to facilitate safe, complete, and sustainable access for humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip, warning that failing to immediately address demands related to the humanitarian truce and facilitate access for aid to the strip will inevitably lead to a humanitarian catastrophe and destabilize regional security in a manner that threatens the stability of the region.

In the same context, Dr. Rami Al-Nazer, the Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, announced the arrival of 84 trucks of food, humanitarian, and medical aid from the Egyptian Red Crescent to the Gaza Strip.

Al-Nazer indicated during a press conference held today in collaboration with the representative of the International Red Cross in the Middle East and North Africa, Hossam Al-Sharqaoui, that the last communication between the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Palestinian Red Crescent was yesterday before the communication lines were cut to the Gaza Strip.

Al-Nazer pointed to the seriousness of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, calling for opening humanitarian corridors not just for several hours but for several days to allow large quantities of aid to enter.

He added that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in collaboration with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), is responsible for receiving the aid from the Egyptian Red Crescent and delivering it to the Gaza Strip.

For his part, Hossam Al-Sharqaoui, the representative of the International Red Cross in the Middle East and North Africa, called on the world to play its role in assisting the Gaza Strip and sending the necessary aid to them, expressing gratitude to the Egyptian government for its assistance to the Gaza Strip and describing the Egyptian role as vital and important.
