Palestinian Foreign Minister and Expatriates Riyad al-Maliki criticized the position of the United States of America before the International Court of Justice regarding the violations in the Gaza Strip, describing it as «weak».

Al-Maliki said in remarks on the sidelines of the oral pleadings before the International Court of Justice in «The Hague» that Washington focused on the political dimension, making its pleadings before the International Court of Justice weak and not at all new regarding the Palestinian issue.

The Palestinian Foreign Minister strongly condemned, in remarks reported by «Cairo News» channel today, Wednesday, Israel's use of the veto power in the Security Council to obstruct any efforts to stop the war on Gaza.

The International Court of Justice had earlier resumed its public sessions today concerning the repercussions arising from Israel's policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The public sessions are scheduled to continue for six days, having started last Monday and continuing until the 26th of the current month to hear briefings from 52 countries.

The hearings come following a request submitted by the United Nations General Assembly to issue a non-binding advisory opinion regarding Israel's policies in the occupied territories.
