The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian telecommunications company "Vodafone," Hani Mahmoud, announced that the company has prepared mobile stations to transport them to the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip to restore internet and telecommunications networks after they were cut off.
Mahmoud said on Saturday evening: "Today, the International Telecommunication Union issued a decision affirming the importance of restoring communications and internet access to Gaza, as this will save victims and the injured."
He also added: "Here in Egypt, our company is ready with some mobile stations that we always use in matches and gatherings to transport them to the border areas between Egypt and Gaza, and we are coordinating with government agencies to implement this."
In the same context, American businessman Elon Musk announced that he will provide recognized international organizations in the Gaza Strip with access to "Starlink" satellite network communications.
Musk clarified via the platform "X" (formerly Twitter): "Starlink will provide communication for internationally recognized organizations that provide assistance in Gaza."
The massive and intense Israeli airstrikes on Friday evening led to the disruption of telecommunications and internet services in the Gaza Strip, and several international institutions, as well as the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the Palestinian Red Crescent, announced that they cannot provide any services amid the communication disruption with their units.
The Palestinian telecommunications company "Jawwal" confirmed on Friday evening the complete interruption of telecommunications and internet services in the Gaza Strip, following Israel's announcement of the expansion of its ground operations in the sector.
