The security agencies in Ontario announced the retrieval of a body from Lake Ontario after a car sank under the ice in the lake.
The police stated in their report on the incident that the car collided with another in the Keating Channel
which is a waterway extending up to 1000 feet in the area of Lakeshore Boulevard and Cherry Street.
The police statement also mentioned that the other man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The statement indicated that the ill-fated car that sank in the ice contained only the man who died.
The security agencies urge residents to stay away from the surrounding area until the investigations are completed.
