Manitoulin Island is located on the waters of Lake Huron in northern Ontario, and it is the largest freshwater island in the world, with an area of 2,765 square kilometers.

It is characterized by picturesque landscapes, as well as being suitable for hiking and enjoying the beaches.

The island is also full of clear lakes and includes one of the famous places to enjoy the summer sun, Providence Bay Beach.

The area also features sand dunes, a wooden boardwalk, and soft sandy beaches. The island also includes the enchanting Bridal Veil Falls.

If you are a fan of hiking, you will need to visit the Cup and Saucer Trail which allows you to view the island's stunning landscapes, and you can travel along the steep cliffs along the way.

Other prominent landmarks on the island include the East Bluff Lookout area, Misery Bay Provincial Nature Reserve, and Manitowaning Lighthouse.

The island can also be accessed by boat and car, as you can drive across the Little Current Swing Bridge from Sudbury or take the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from Tobermory.
