Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's plane is experiencing a technical issue that has forced the entire Canadian delegation to remain in India, where this year's G20 summit is taking place.
Trudeau and the accompanying delegation, as well as the media traveling with the Prime Minister, are scheduled to leave on Sunday evening local time. However, shortly before departure, the Canadian Armed Forces discovered a mechanical problem that could not be fixed overnight.
The Prime Minister's Office stated, "Upon departing for the airport, the Canadian Armed Forces informed us that aircraft CFC001 was experiencing technical issues."
It also added, "These issues cannot be resolved overnight, and our delegation will remain in India until alternative arrangements are made."
The Prime Minister arrived in India on Friday to attend the G20 summit.
