Emergency crews responded to reports of an explosion at a home in Innisfil, Ontario, early Saturday morning, resulting in the destruction of two homes.
Images taken from the scene showed a hellish fire at a home in Crescent Harbour around 2 a.m.
Officials said the explosion ignited a second residence, adding that both homes suffered "total loss."
Officials also added that no one was in the home at the time of the explosion, and the occupants of the burning home were able to escape unharmed.
Two other homes also sustained minor heat damage.
After several hours, thick smoke columns still fill the air over the area.
Ontario police were also called in to investigate the cause of the explosion.
