Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that the best way to ensure the safety of UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon is to "temporarily keep them away from harm's way."
Netanyahu considered, in statements reported by Reuters, that "the accusation that Israel deliberately targeted UNIFIL personnel is completely false."
He also claimed that "Hezbollah used UNIFIL positions as cover" in its attacks on Israel, "including a drone attack" that targeted a Golani Brigade base and killed 4 Israeli soldiers.
