Two men were arrested in Montreal in connection with a fatal shooting incident in North York on Father's Day.

It happened on the afternoon of June 19 in the Lotherton Pathway and Caledonia Road area, south of Lawrence Avenue West.

When police and paramedics arrived, they found 24-year-old Jarron Williams unresponsive with gunshot wounds.

He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Police announced on Sunday that Montreal police, in consultation with the homicide unit, arrested two 20-year-old men involved in Williams' shooting death.

Police said Jalen Campbell Brown and Justin Harker were charged with first-degree murder.

They were detained and held in custody.

Police earlier said four suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle described as a beige or champagne-colored 2010-2015 Chevrolet Equinox shortly after the shooting.

Police are also investigating whether the incident is related to another shooting a few kilometers away at the Amaranth Court and Flemington Road area that occurred minutes before the incident, resulting in a 43-year-old man being seriously injured.

It is noteworthy that Father's Day was violent in Toronto this year, with four separate shooting incidents, including the two in North York, resulting in one death and seven others injured.

Police continue to urge anyone with information to contact them at

416-808-7400.
