The U.S. authorities said that a passenger plane belonging to "American Airlines" en route from Texas to New Mexico was evacuated on Sunday after landing at Albuquerque airport in New Mexico following a security threat.
Airport officials said that all 179 people on board "Flight 928" from "Dallas Fort Worth" were evacuated from the plane in the morning at Albuquerque Sunport International Airport and then directed to the airport terminal.
Meanwhile, there have been no reports of injuries as a result of the evacuation carried out at the airport, according to the "Associated Press".
Officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Albuquerque did not disclose the nature of the security threat, but said it is under investigation and that no further information is available.
Airport officials said that passengers on "American Airlines" flights departing from the airport are expected to experience delays during the investigation of the incident.
