Toronto Police are investigating a luxury car theft incident after it was found in Etobicoke.
The police say that two suspects broke into a residential apartment in the Spadina and Fort York area on Thursday morning and stole a Lamborghini from that address.
Officers traced the car to a residential area in Etobicoke near Islington Avenue and Eglinton Avenue. They found the car parked at a house on Summitcrest Drive.
The police say that one suspect is now in custody, while the second suspect is still at large.
The police say that the victim of the home invasion was unharmed and was with the officers at the Etobicoke location when they found the car. The police did not specify whether the victim was inside the car when it was stolen.
There has been an increase in car thefts in the Greater Toronto Area in recent days, but the police do not consider Thursday's incident to be the same type of crime.
Toronto Police are also investigating three armed carjacking incidents believed to have been committed by the same suspects on Wednesday night.
On Monday in Etobicoke, Mitch Marner, the hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, was carjacked at gunpoint by a group of suspects in the "Cineplex" parking lot.
Toronto Police said officers arrested one person and are searching for two other suspects after three men attempted to kidnap a woman in Rexdale in Toronto on Tuesday.
