South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo said his government plans to achieve $700 billion in exports and secure $57 billion in deals, according to South Korean broadcaster KBS World, Wednesday.
South Korean Prime Minister added in a speech delivered at a dialogue session held Wednesday at Seoul National University, that "Korea must rely on foreign markets to achieve a second rise for its economy."
He explained that "the government plans to achieve record figures this year through exports worth $700 billion and foreign deals worth $57 billion, based on the ongoing recovery since last year in exports and the increase in foreign deals, especially in the fields of nuclear power plants and defense industries."
He also said, "The government will support Korean companies' advance into global markets by expanding the global economic cooperation network and increasing official development assistance," stressing that "the Korean government will train more high-talented personnel in advanced industries, especially space, aviation, and biomedicine industries."
