3 settlers were killed today, Friday, in a shooting operation in the Jordan Valley area near Jericho, east of the occupied West Bank, after Hadassah Hospital announced that the death toll of the operation rose to 3 settlers.

The Israeli occupation army announced the occurrence of a "shooting operation towards a car at the 'Hamra' junction in the Jordan Valley.

Israeli estimates explained that a Palestinian vehicle deliberately collided with a settlers' vehicle before the person inside it proceeded to shoot towards the settlers' vehicle and withdrew on foot or in another vehicle.

Hebrew sources confirmed that the perpetrators of the operation managed to withdraw safely, noting that the air force is assisting in searching for them.

Hebrew media mentioned that about twenty minutes passed since the operation until the security apparatus realized that it was an attack and not a regular car accident, which gave the perpetrator a large chance to escape, and a pursuit is now taking place in the entire area, including the closure of most roads and mobilization of additional forces.

It was explained that the perpetrators fired a large number of bullets to ensure the killing of the settlers in the vehicle; about 22 "shell casings" were found at the scene, while the occupation army confirmed that the weapon used was a "Kalashnikov" type.
