The Israeli occupation army deliberately demolished Palestinian structures this morning, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, including shops designated for housing north of the city of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, under the pretext of building without a permit, according to eyewitnesses confirmed to Anadolu Agency.

The Israeli occupation authorities prohibit construction or land reclamation in areas classified as "C" without a permit, which is almost impossible to obtain, according to Palestinians.

It is noted that the Oslo II Accord classified the West Bank lands into three areas: "A" under full Palestinian control, "B" under Israeli security control and Palestinian civil and administrative control, and "C" under Israeli civil, administrative, and security control, with the latter constituting about 60 percent of the West Bank area.
