A barrage of rockets was launched as militants infiltrated from the Gaza Strip into the border settlements, as part of the surprise attack initiated by Hamas on Saturday morning.
The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that the total number of martyrs and injuries until today/Saturday at 4:20 PM was "198 martyrs and 1610 injured with various injuries."
Israeli sources reported that over 40 were killed and 750 injured by Hamas fire.
The Al-Aqsa Flood Operation
Israeli army radio reported that fighting is still ongoing in more than 20 locations.
For its part, the Palestinian Hamas movement, through the mouth of its political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, stated that he would deliver an important speech shortly regarding the developments in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle.

On another note, the Interior Ministry of Hamas in Gaza stated that the Israeli occupation has launched hundreds of airstrikes over the past hours on various targets in all provinces of the Gaza Strip, including residential homes and buildings used for civilian and service purposes, resulting in severe damage to the infrastructure.
Israeli media reported that there are 50 Israeli hostages in "Kibbutz Bari" and negotiations are ongoing between the army and the militants for their release.
Channel 14 reported that more than 40 Israeli fatalities and 750 injuries have occurred due to Hamas fire.
It clarified that 14 settlements have been targeted by Hamas incursions in the Gaza border area.
Medical sources reported to Al Jazeera that more than 160 Palestinian martyrs and around a thousand injured have been recorded in Gaza hospitals since this morning.
The Hebrew site Walla pointed out the loss of communication with the Israeli army command post at the Gaza border.
Hamas announced the start of "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood," during which 5,000 rockets were launched towards Israel.
According to the Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz," the attack on Israel resulted in many deaths and hundreds of injuries, along with an unknown number of captives and hostages.
A video clip documented the moment cars caught fire in "Ashkelon," due to the fall of rockets, in addition to the ignition of several buildings in various areas of Israel, as residents fled from the flames.
