Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp, subsidiaries of the Hyundai Motor Group, the largest car manufacturer in South Korea, showcased the latest electric vehicle technologies at the annual "Trend Korea Electric Cars" exhibition which started yesterday and continues for three days.
The South Korean news agency Yonhap noted that the South Korean Ministry of Environment is hosting this seventh edition of the annual trade exhibition to promote electric vehicle technologies and adoption.
Hyundai prepared two special zones, named "Electric Vehicle Advantages Zone" and "Electric Vehicle Experience Zone," where visitors can see and experience the advantages of electric vehicles compared to internal combustion engine cars.
Visitors can try Hyundai's technology called "Vehicle to Load" (V2L), which allows household appliances to be powered through electricity from Hyundai electric cars. Hyundai also displayed the renewed Ioniq 5 and Kona electric models at the exhibition.
For its part, Kia utilized three spaces to showcase its technologies in the fields of battery charging and its space, then technological developments in this field, and sustainability of electric vehicles.
Kia allows visitors to experience services and benefits provided to its car drivers, such as over-the-air software updates and the company's projects related to environmental sustainability.
