No Canadians were mentioned in the updated list of foreign nationals allowed to leave the Gaza Strip today, and the General Authority for Crossings and Borders published the latest document on its Facebook page early Thursday morning.

The Canadian Global Affairs Authority said on Wednesday that a total of 367 Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and their family members were able to leave, including nine people who left without the assistance of the Canadian government.

Two other people were able to travel to Egypt via the Rafah border crossing on Wednesday, and 10 people made the trip on Monday.

The Canadian government says it cannot determine when or how many people can cross each day, but another 386 people connected to Canada are looking to leave the besieged Palestinian territories.

They are fleeing the war that began on October 7 when Hamas fighters launched an attack on Israel, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 1,200 people and the taking of nearly 240 others as hostages into Gaza.

Israel has since responded with airstrikes and a ground assault in Gaza, and the Hamas-run health authority says the death toll in the strip has exceeded 11,200 people.
