The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed that the fighters in the resistance factions, led by the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades, are ready "with all their strength" to confront the attacks of the Zionist army after it expanded its aerial and ground assaults on the Gaza Strip.

Hamas stated in a press release, "We announce the failure of the ground attack launched by the occupation on Gaza through 3 axes," and confirmed that the occupation suffered heavy losses among its ranks, both in soldiers and equipment.

It also added that the occupation soldiers fell into ambushes prepared by the Palestinian resistance on several axes, emphasizing that they used "Kornet missiles and Yasin shells to repel the attack, and we expect the enemy to attempt again."

The movement confirmed that the occupation used helicopters to evacuate the wounded and dead from the battlefield.

Furthermore, the interruption of internet and communication services continued for more than 10 hours until early today, Saturday. Telecommunication companies and the Red Crescent Association stated that the interruption was part of the Israeli bombardment.

Hamas mentioned in a statement early today, Saturday, that "the Qassam Brigades and all Palestinian resistance forces are fully prepared to confront the aggression and thwart the invasions," adding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "and his defeated army are incapable of achieving any military accomplishment."

Earlier on Friday night, the Qassam Brigades stated that their fighters engaged with the occupation forces in the town of Beit Hanoun in northeastern Gaza, and in Al-Bureij in the center of the Strip.

Palestinian media in Gaza revealed on Friday evening the use of "Kornet" missiles by the Qassam Brigades in repelling the enemy's incursion.

Additionally, Al-Aqsa satellite channel reported that there were "fierce battles between the fighters and the Zionists near the borders of the Gaza Strip during which 4 Kornet missiles were fired at the enemy's tanks and armored vehicles."

Earlier on Friday, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced the interruption of communications and internet in the Strip, while the occupation confirmed the expansion of its ground operations amid intense and unprecedented shelling, the most severe since the start of the aggression on October 7 of this year.
