A Canadian family was surprised by a puppy with green fur that their dog gave birth to among a group of 8 small puppies a few days ago.

The family living in Nova Scotia, Canada, said that their 3-year-old dog "Freya" gave birth to eight puppies, one of which was distinguished by its green-colored fur.
"Trevor" and "Audra Mosher" said they initially thought their dog had finished the birth process after delivering 7 puppies, but what was really controversial was when labor started again and she gave birth to an additional puppy in a black sac, unlike the transparent sacs of the other puppies.

"Audra" wrote on Facebook: "It seems that our little green puppy Fiona is a rare occurrence, I hope the color will remain, it would be really wonderful!"

It is believed that the green dye results from the light-colored puppies coming into contact with substances secreted by the liver while in the womb.
