Emir of the State of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani emphasized in an interview with the French magazine ''Le Point'' that his country has no relation to the "Muslim Brotherhood," stating: "This relationship does not exist, and there are no active members of the Muslim Brotherhood or any groups connected to it on Qatari soil."
He confirmed that Qatar is an "open country through which a large number of people with different views and ideas pass," adding: "But we are a state, not a party, and we deal with states and their legitimate governments, not political organizations."
Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said that Qatar's foreign policy aims to bring different viewpoints closer, and Doha plays a facilitating role in that.
He confirmed that the world needs dialogue to solve its problems, and the best example is what Doha did in Afghanistan, adding that those he described as American friends asked Doha for help to contact the Afghans for a peaceful solution, and Qatar did that.
