Agencies: With the relative calm that has begun to prevail in the occupied territories in general, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular, the atmosphere of frustration still spreads among the Israeli circles, alleging that the occupation state "fell into the trap," because the Palestinians succeeded in preventing the settlers from carrying out the Flag March and slaughtering sacrifices.
There is an acknowledgment in the occupation circles of the Islamic ownership of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which caused the occupation to lose many points that the "Guardian of the Walls" operation in Gaza in Ramadan 2021 had stopped at, considering that every round ends, which determines the beginning of the next round.
Tzvi Hazkeli, an expert in Arab affairs on "Channel 13", mentioned in an interview published by Maariv newspaper, that "Israel was hit in the last confrontation with the Palestinians at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, crowned by Hamas members raising their green flags in the Al-Aqsa courtyards, just as is the case in Gaza. Meanwhile, the behavior of the Israelis generally appeared to be fearful of the Palestinians, which means the Israeli situation is bad, not good."
He added that "Hamas continues to incite against Israel for 15-20 years, and in the end, the movement proved the fact that Israel fears the settlers’ incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The result is that we have reached a situation in which Hamas controls the Al-Aqsa Mosque and succeeds in making the Palestinians hate us and not accept our presence, due to what the army has lost in fighting spirit, causing a gradual decline in the deterrent value of Israel in front of the Palestinians."
General Tzvika Vogel, the former commander of the southern region in the occupation army, mentioned in an interview published by Maariv newspaper that "the Israeli takeaway from the last confrontation at the Al-Aqsa Mosque indicates that every time we receive a new blow, from a different place, but these blows try to break our spirits: once from the south, another time from the center in the West Bank, and a third time from the northern front."
He added that "Israel is required not to ignore the slap it faced in the last confrontation, including the joining of the Palestinians of 48 to this wave, especially since they 'are preparing a surprise for us,' given that they possess the largest amount of weapons, which means this weapon will come out one day in our streets, with the majority among them not liking Israel, and not adhering to its laws, and all they need is just a drop of fuel to ignite the fires in the camp."
These Israeli acknowledgments indicate that the occupation state is facing an unforeseen confrontation, which means it is still extracting its mistakes and failures from the last round, without guarantees that these mistakes will not be repeated in light of the achievements the Palestinians have obtained that do not escape the eye, whether on the military or moral level, which was met with a decline and deterioration in Israeli security, showing the occupation state in an unenviable position, admitted by its own generals and politicians!
