Man among us was not scheduled to face all these challenges daily, especially amid the immense tension everywhere that has affected human lives and their humanitarian feelings. I can say that our generations did not expect to live through such harsh moments as we are living now, especially since we are at the doorstep of the blessed month of Ramadan, which Muslims particularly look forward to, and all humanity shares its uniqueness as a month of mercy and forgiveness, a month of great human and spiritual faith, a month of reconciliation with the Almighty Creator. However, I do not know if this month will pass as we hoped, especially after two years of psychological imbalance for many people due to the terror caused by the pandemic, making each of us carry a story and a tale, with multiple interpretations and perhaps containing a verse that we certainly do not know, but its features indicate that there are lessons carrying with them absent variables that must be taken into account!.
Today we live a harsh story, a story of threat with the end of the world, a story of death and destruction, a story of decline and pessimism, a story that stirs the desires of most people who tend to watch violent stories with sad endings more than happy endings.
This is because most people are suffering from pain, hurt, and loss of hope of returning to reason and applying the spirit of human justice everywhere, not selectively as we often see, so those stories have become close to their lives, and thus there is surrender to the idea of the absence of hope, and belief in the absence of human justice has become dominant and a feature of reality.
Recently, a scientific study revealed that sad endings always remind us that life is difficult and complex and that we are lucky for the margin of joy and happiness we have, even if it is very limited, but it is certainly confined to many tangible and intangible blessings.
We even feel that we are heroes like fictional dramatic characters whom we believe while watching have endured a lot, beyond their capacity, and yet they still retain their strength!.
Therefore, man among us stands today puzzled before stories of conflict, absence of justice, and demonization of truth before falsehood; he stands helpless as he sees scenes of endless destruction and death, moving from place to place without any introduction or waiting period.
Man stands these days confused and helpless as he sees hypocrisy unbelievable to reason and expensive prices devouring his efforts and toils mercilessly and without compassion, pursuing his livelihood and threatening his stability and the future of his children.
Man stands helpless, waiting for the crazy unknown that may assassinate his mind, ambitions, aspirations, and all his hopes and dreams from human devils or from defamation gangs and those wanting to control others without knowing a reason for that.
Today man stands helpless and perhaps unaware of what this condition will ultimately lead to after we have seen homelessness become a project before dead consciences, those who do not care about assassinating humanity, do not care about killing childhood, rather, they do not care about killing people and destroying stones.
Man stands today helpless, contemplating the truth of a dark tale in a time we thought would be bright and full of light, a time of science, scientists, renaissance, economy, and technological revolution, but unfortunately, we find that it was or has become a tale aimed at destroying everything built through many generations.
Man stands today helpless, waiting for difficult and complex endings amid chaos and conflict with unclear goals and results, indeed, fearing the continuation of a lean years series that leaves no state as it is, no human as he is, rather it shatters all that is unified or coherent, and perhaps kills human feelings that were always alive, so the number of homeless increases, the number of hungry increases more and more, and the number of criminals frighteningly increases, and no one knows where this life is taking us!.
Therefore, man stands helpless seeing that the story of darkness prevails over the story of truth and hope, after our consciousness was invaded to believe that darkness is confined to specific groups and not open to groups supposed to guard our human values.
Today man stands helpless seeing youngsters rebel against elders and caring nothing about their punishment or their status and power, and the situation becomes unlike what it was in memory and imagination.
Man stands today helpless seeing greater helplessness than the imagination that he once thought was impossible.
Is there more helplessness than that?!, and is it the end of hope or the beginning of a story from which we create the life deserving of future generations, and we triumph for our human values and rise to achieve justice everywhere as much as possible, and not selectively conflicting with core values?!.
Here, I do not deny that I lean towards a story that restores hope in us so that we become able to invest in our abilities to correct the path intellectually and behaviorally so that the human path based on shared coexistence becomes built within a comprehensive and inclusive justice, not selective and sacred, and it is the only judgment to which all humanity adheres.
