A senior security source stated today, Tuesday, that the Egyptian Air Force will carry out an airdrop operation of food and medical aid in the Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Strip is witnessing a severe shortage of foodstuffs, which has made its residents vulnerable to catastrophic famine if aid is not brought in large quantities to the region, which is living under the burden of war and hunger.
The source said that the Egyptian Air Force will carry out an airdrop operation of food and medical aid in the Gaza Strip.
He added that Egypt is preparing to establish an Egyptian field hospital inside the Gaza Strip that includes equipped operating rooms, noting the necessary measures have been taken to establish a third shelter camp for displaced persons north of Deir al-Balah Governorate inside the Gaza Strip, and Egypt has completed the establishment of the second shelter camp for displaced persons inside the Strip, according to a breaking news report from "Cairo News" channel.
There will also be cooperation between the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Palestinian Red Crescent to provide food and relief materials to the displaced persons.
The source continued that Egypt aims to provide relief, shelter, and treatment to thousands of Palestinians displaced as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In a related context, Human Rights Watch said the Israeli government has not complied with at least one measure in the legal order issued by the International Court of Justice in the case of committing genocide against the Palestinians.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, based on warnings about the "catastrophic conditions" in Gaza, the court ordered Israel to "take immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of essential services and urgently needed humanitarian aid," and to submit a report on its compliance with the specified measures "within one month."
The report added that after one month, Israel continues to obstruct the provision of essential services and the entry and distribution of fuel and life-saving aid inside Gaza, acts of collective punishment that amount to war crimes and include the use of starving civilians as a weapon of war.
Human Rights Watch said that other countries must use all forms of pressure, including sanctions and embargoes, to pressure the Israeli government to comply with the court's binding orders in the genocide case.
